Yvonne Napper
Yvonne is a singer/vocal artist, performance storyteller, narrator, writer and mystic. She is a classically trained vocalist with years of singing and performance experience across many styles and traditions, from opera to jazz, folk, gospel and world music.
Yvonne is a passionate believer in the power of music and story to connect, heal and transform:

Stories enable us to see the extraordinary in the ordinary and the ordinary in the extraordinary. In life we often find ourselves in challenging situations we feel powerless to change. But in stories we are able to call on forces much older, wiser and more magical than ourselves to help us spin life’s straw into gold!”
Yvonne’s storytelling draws on myth, fairytale and folk traditions from around the world, with their extraordinary cast of characters. She is drawn to those things which shimmer on the outer edges of perception: things which make our skin tingle, evade the grasp of rational explanation and slip through the fingers of analysis, because “that’s where the answers are”.
She uses song and various musical instruments to weave colour, texture and drama into her storytelling.

In 2011 Yvonne created Wild Muse: Myth, Magic & Music to bring together the various strands of her work. She also runs workshops exploring the range and power of the human voice through sound and song.
