Nathalie works with artists, communities and cultural spaces to shape and activate activities as part of Torbay’s cultural sector. Locally, she works closely with Doorstep Arts, Play Torbay, Torbay Arts & Culture Network, and many other creative and community groups. Her background is as a visual artist with a strong interest in working collaboratively with young people and communities.

Tom’s background is in landscape architecture, and over the last 20 years has progressed to running Ginkgo Projects, a specialist art & design consultancy. He is interested in how a sense of belonging and identity is nurtured within communities and how this is reflected in townscape design. He is also part of the design team working on planned town centre regeneration projects for Torbay.

Clare is an arts producer and dance artist, with 30 years’ producing experience in theatre, public art, outdoor arts, participatory practice & education. She has worked in Torbay on a range of projects, recently producing for Encounters Arts, Dance in Devon & Torbay Culture and Arts Network. She has a strong interest in arts, health & wellbeing, and is establishing a social enterprise using dance to help people in later life to stay active, independent, enjoying a creative older age.

Debbie works is very active in the Torbay community with her work as a community engagement co-ordinator for an Outstanding Home Care provider. In and out of this working role, she loves bringing people to participate in meaningful events and activities within the Bay to aid their mental and physical wellbeing and to feel connected to others.

Mair George
Producer

Mair is a producer and project manager working across production, arts and education settings. She has worked with a number of organisations including Doorstep Arts, Welsh National Opera and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Mair produces the bi-annual Doorstep Theatre festival, and is particularly enjoying discovering the amazing places in the bay she knew nothing about before taking up this role!

Dom Jeffery
Production Manager

Previously Technical Manager at Northcott Theatre (having trained under Maurice Marshall), Dom works as a Production Manager and Lighting specialist (True LX). He has worked for many theatrical and commercial production companies in the UK & internationally, including touring the UK with English Touring Opera.

Laura Carus
Events Manager

Laura is an event manager with experience across diverse scales of events, logistical organisation and delivery. She also has experience working in theatre production, from prop maker to Company Stage Manager. Recent projects include Bristol Harbour Festival, Skyline Series and Bristol Sounds. VIP hospitality: The Cure aand Torbay Airshow.

James Tyson
Creative Advisor 

James works across performance, theatre, music, visual arts & literature. As part of the Eyeview team he advises on artistic programme. James works as an arts programmer and artist and in Torbay recently as Director of International Agatha Christie Festival. He is a Programme Manager for British Council Theatre & Dance supporting collaborative projects with artists internationally & the UK arts sector.

Sophie Amos
Wavelength Production Crew

Sophie is a freelance stage manager, technician and performer based in Torbay. She has managed many different productions both locally and nationally. She is also a performer and producer of her own show ‘S.E.Amos’ Greatest Show in Torbay’.

Sophie studied Production Arts at South Devon College and gained a BA(Hons) in Theatre and Performance at Plymouth Conservatoire.

Adam Stelfox
Wavelength Production Crew

Adam is an experienced local theatre technician working at the local college and many theatres around South Devon.

He works regularly at the Princess Theatre (ATG), Torquay and has worked with many UK and world tours, including, Evita, Dirty Dancing and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Sophie Selvey

Sophie is a creative and ambitious second year BA English undergraduate at the University of Exeter.

After working as a Producing Intern for Torbay’s Into the Mix diversity festival, she is excited to collaborate with the Eyeview team again, to support Wavelength as a Production Crew Member.

Natalie is an aspiring events producer and recent graduate from the University of Exeter, where she regularly organised events for the University’s Geography Society. Having supported Eyeview as a Producing and Events Management Intern in June, she is delighted to be working with the team again as a member of the Production Crew for Wavelength.

Theresa is a third-year student of History at the University of Exeter. She is co-Head of Poltimore Festival Theatre and has recently produced a video for illuminations A Cappella.

James Turner

Producing & Events Management Intern

James studies English Literature and Film at the University of Exeter. He is treasurer for the student society Lightbox, which aims to provide a platform for creative networking and collaboration.

Lucy Wilson

Producing & Events Management Intern

Lucy is a third year student of English with Spanish at the University of Exeter. She has a passion for the arts, and currently runs a dance fitness class at the Exeter Phoenix.

Alan Tilley

Alan Tilley

Wavelength Safeguarding Lead

Alan has experience at senior management level in adult social care, over 20 years in education with senior leadership in special schools in Torbay and Exeter and is the Chair for PHAB Torquay.

Alan is committed to making a change for adults and young people with disabilities and is a Proud to Care Ambassador. He is also a trained counsellor, personal assistant and safeguarding lead.

Gillian Taylor
Press Relations

Gillian is communications and advocacy consultant for Torbay Culture. By securing media and online coverage of our Great Place Scheme and other work of Torbay Culture, her aim is to raise the profile of Torbay as a creative place to live, work and visit. By telling stories about the events and activities taking place across the Bay, she hopes to encourage all sorts of people to participate in the Eyeview programme.
