Call out for Grass Men!

Artist Ashley Peevor is looking for two local people to wear his Grass Men costumes for a walkabout performance in June 2019 as part of (Extra)ordinary - an exciting cultural programme for Torbay. This will be a fantastic opportunity to don a unique costume, grown by hand and in the local area, that is alive with flora and grass! Part-sculpture, part spectacle, this is an unusual and rare chance to be involved in living art. Our performers will need to be strong, with a fair amount of stamina, and are warned that this may not be suitable for people uncomfortable with: enclosed and dark spaces, interaction with the public, heat.

Full dates and hours of commitment: Thursday 6th June (8 hours) Rehearsal/Costume Fitting Friday 7th June (8 hours) Torquay (Fleet Walk) Saturday 8th June (8 hours) Paignton (Eastern Esplanade, Winner Street) Sunday 9th June (4 hours) Brixham (Shoalstone Pool, Berry Head).

To find out more or express an interest in performing, contact Clare Parker, Lead Producer by emailing clare@eye-view.org.uk.
