A History of Waves - A Musical Lecture from Oliver to William | Trio of Men

  • Bright Ideas, Torre Abbey Grounds The Kings Drive Torquay TQ2 5JE United Kingdom (map)
A-History-of-Waves.jpg

A piece of experimental musico-performance by municipal musicians Trio Of Men. A journey from the tail-end of their 5 year research into the explorations (locally and globally) inspired by the mathematician and Engineer Oliver Heaviside to the starting point of a new journey into the first ever wave-machines built inside William Froude’s house in Chelston in the middle of the 19th Century.

The performance will involve waving, songs, experiments, string, loops, coat hangers, head-pieces, conch shells, live experiments and ritual.

Featuring Ben Ballard, Steve Sowden and Hugh Nankivell as the putative above-mentioned Trio Of Men.
