Rachel Miller | Sonic Tales
Rachel Miller is a musician, composer and storyteller who brings tales to life through beautiful music and evocative sonic textures. Each show is carefully composed and structured using a wide variety of instruments with digital sound technology through which she can sample and loop the sounds live. With this, she builds up evocative and beautiful textures of music and sounds that conjure the images and emotions of a tale.
As a musician, performer and teacher, Rachel has a wide range of musical experience including jazz, folk, classical, experimental and electronic music. She has entranced audiences across the UK with her solo shows, performing at theatres, arts and literature festivals, conferences, lectures and for radio.
She is an active music educator and works with all ages from early years to adults. She also runs courses in improvisation and creative composition and leads workshops on music and mythology. She is an active music educator and works with all ages from early years to adults.
As a narrator and musician she has toured extensively with one of the UK’s foremost puppet theatre companies, PuppetCraft www.puppetcraft.co.uk.
