Laura & Lyndon Forster
Lyndon and Laura have a love of music which has led them to collaborate on songs for Wavelength for the littlest members of our community.
Laura is singer, songwriter and musician with solo and band experience as a live and recording artist. As a music leader she runs workshops for a wide range of groups including babies, children, young people and parents. She has worked with the BBC and co-ordinated the Philharmonia Orchestra's iOrchestra project in Torbay. Lullabubbas is one of Laura's recent projects and includes soft and calming music workshops for babies, new parents and pregnant women. She loves to provide opportunities for parents to bond with their babies through music, learn songs to sooth them, relax and take time to breath in the sometimes busy whirlwind of parenting.
Lyndon is a percussionist and handpan player. He studied West African percussion for 12 years and has played handpan for the past 5. During this time he has played in a number of bands, drum troupes and as a solo artist. He has had his music featured on BBC Introducing and on BBC Radio 3. Lyndon now works with a small company in Exeter building handpans, and as a percussion teacher and workshop leader. He is currently developing a social enterprise company called PanKind to take handpans into a variety of therapeutic and educational settings.
