The Clockwork Moth
The Clockwork Moth are a fluid arts collective led by artists Charlie and Victoria Narewski Scullion, sometimes working on individual projects, sometimes both together, often with lots of other people.
They are best known for their darkly comic shadow-puppetry shows which have toured the UK for the last eight years. The are currently touring Hansel & Gretel a new shadow-puppet play, commissioned by The National Trust's Wray Castle. Charlie is creating a huge-scale 25-window installation at Torre Abbey this Christmas, and working on a super-simplistic shadow show for very young children.
Both are passionate gardeners and their work is inspired by the natural world, flora and fauna, science, magic, history, family, stories. Charlie also collaborates with Dartmoor Skies, a brilliant astronomy education charity, and the fabulous Creation Myth Puppets, who undertake epic puppetry residencies with young people.
