Gaby Lovatt & Becci Eriksson-  Participate Arts

Participate Arts design socially engaged arts projects and workshops around South Devon. They facilitate creative expression, explore community and bring people together to articulate their stories. Their programmes are designed to meet the needs of participants, working creatively with people of all ages - with individuals, communities and cultural agencies to develop work that has impact and lasting social legacy. They encourage active participation, nurture art skills and imagination, promote health and wellbeing. They find ways to make contemporary arts and culture approachable and relevant to participants’ experiences, often working with other specialists.

Gaby’s background is in installation, 3D and mixed media work. She has extensive experience of working with families, children and young people as an Artist Educator with a particular interest in site specific work, heritage objects and environmental themes.

Becci’s work focuses on making with found objects and people’s stories in 2 and 3 dimensions - through installation, book works, textiles and text. Her practice embraces curated exhibitions, co-ordinated events, projects & conferences. She is a fellow of Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs.
